Perhaps you're curious what inspired me to create Fantasy-Ireland. For me, it began as a quest and grew into a heartfelt passion. Here's my story. My quest began over ten years ago. In the early 90's, U2 showed me how inspiring being Irish could be. I was moved by the soul of their music and the passion in their words. But not until about the late 90's did I find myself yearning to reconnect with my Irish roots when I discovered Riverdance. Like millions of others all over the world, I was simply captivated by the dancing and the music. It stirred feelings within me I didn't even know I had. All I knew was there was no going back to my bland all-American life. What once was an idle curiosity became a heartfelt passion. Over the years, I immersed myself more and more in the mysteries of Celtic symbolism and the bittersweet history of the Emerald Isle. Eventually, I decided to take all that I had learned and share it with the world. That is how this site was born. Fantasy-Ireland was launched in January 2004, and it is getting more popular every month. I now get over 18,000 unique visitors every month, and it's growing all the time.
